15:53 agoSpeaking at an event organized by the Madrid Sports Press Association, Louzan expressed strong confidence in Spain’s ability to lead the tournament.
“Spain has proven its organisational capacity over many years. It will be the leader of the 2030 World Cup and the final of that World Cup will be held here,” he said.
However, Louzan did not specify whether the final would take place at Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu or Barcelona’s Camp Nou, the two main Spanish contenders.

20:22 agoMeanwhile, Morocco is pushing to host the final in Casablanca at the Grand Stade Hassan II, a massive new stadium currently under construction north of the city. Once completed in late 2028, the stadium is expected to hold approximately 115,000 spectators, making it one of the largest football venues in the world.
Morocco’s Royal Football Federation President Faouzi Lekjaa previously expressed his wish to see the 2030 final staged in Casablanca, potentially even featuring a showdown between Spain and Morocco.
Louzán also referenced the challenges Morocco faced while hosting the recent Africa Cup of Nations. The final between Senegal and Morocco, which Senegal won 1–0, was overshadowed by crowd disruptions and player protests that temporarily halted play.
“Morocco is really undergoing a transformation in every sense, with magnificent stadiums,” Louzan acknowledged.
“We must recognise what has been done well. But in the Africa Cup of Nations, we have seen scenes that damage the image of world football.”
FIFA has not yet confirmed where the 2030 World Cup final will be played. The global governing body previously stated that it is premature to decide the venue, noting that the host city for the 2026 World Cup final was revealed only two years before the tournament.
Ultimately, FIFA will have the final say on where the historic 2030 World Cup final will take place.
